Police: Man who shot mother, son may be behind other crimes
DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators say the man accused of shooting a DeKalb County woman and her 11-year-old son during a home invasion could be linked to other crimes in the neighborhood.
Officers say Damien "Day Day" Armstead broke into the woman's home on the 3100 block of Citrus Court and shot her and her young son several times

DeKalb Sheriff's investigators tell FOX 5 that they found Armstead hiding in the woods near an apartment complex..
They told FOX 5 Armstead was known to commit crimes in the area of Columbia Drive off of Flat Shoals Parkway.
Now that Armstead is behind bars, police are asking residents with related information to come forward.
Both the mother and son are expected to survive their injuries.
