Police: Man standing at intersection shot six times

A man is fighting for his life after being shot six times overnight.

According to police, the 23-year-old victim was standing on the sidewalk in front of town homes on Browns Mill Road around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday when a Pontiac pulled up and someone opened fire.

Paramedics rushed the victim to Atlanta Medical Center, where at last check he was in critical, but stable condition.

Police don't have a motive for the crime. A clerk at a nearby gas station told officers the victim had been in his store earlier in the night, and had an eye injury. The victim told the clerk he had been robbed the day before.

According to officers, it appears the shooters never left the car. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Atlanta police.
