DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - DeKalb County Police said they are searching for two men and a woman who investigators believe are all connected to an attempted robbery that led to a man's murder.
Investigators said they received a 911 call shortly before 11 a.m. Tuesday inside a home in the 900 block of Rowland Road. Police said a woman was also home at the time, but in a separate part of the home.
"There was another individual inside the house, heard the gunshots, came running down the stairs, at that time the suspects already departed that location. She actually discovered the body and immediately called police," said Lt. Mark Lavigne, DeKalb County Homicide.
Authorities said the victim was in his late 20s. Police could not say whether the individuals knew the man inside the home, why they tried to rob him, or what the individuals were after.
Police said the people inside, which included the victim and a woman, were squatting inside the home.
"It scares me... I don't like it. It's too close," said concerned neighbor Modesta Romero Reyes, who said she heard noises from partying held at the home, over the past few days. She said the homeowner lives elsewhere.
Anyone with information is asked to call the DeKalb County Police Department’s Homicide Unit.
