Police: Man injured in SW Atlanta drive-by shooting

ATLANTA - An Atlanta man is in the hospital after police say he was shot while driving his truck.

Atlanta Police told FOX 5 they were called to the area of Delowe Drive and Arthur Langford Parkway at around 7:14 Tuesday morning.

When they got to the scene, police found a man shot in the leg.

The victim told them that he was getting change at a gas station around the 3500 block of Campbellton Road where he exchanged words with a group of five men that were in the area,

The man drove away, but he told police that while he was driving on Arthur Langford Parkway the group of men pulled up next to him and shot at his truck.

Medics transported the victim to Grady Memorial Hospital. He is currently alert and breathing.

The investigation is ongoing.
