Police: Man injured in northwest Atlanta shooting

ATLANTA - Police are investigating a shooting which happened Monday morning in Atlanta.

Officials said that officers were called to a home on the 800 block of Magnolia Way in response to a person being shot.

When they got there, they found a man shot in the thigh.

Officials said the man was shot in the area of Mayson Turner Road and Joseph E. Boone Boulevard. The man was then taken to a nearby home.

Medics transported the man to Grady Memorial Hospital. He was alert, conscious, and breathing.

Police have not yet released the identity of the man or the cause of the shooting.
