CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. - Officials in Clayton County are desperately searching for a 17-year-old boy who was last seen on Monday just before midnight.
A Mattie’s Call, Georgia’s alert system for missing elderly and disabled individuals, was activated by the Clayton County Police Department on Wednesday for Diontay Johnson.
According to police, Johnson came home Monday at 10:30 p.m., but left his home in the 600 block of Washington Drive in Jonesboro about an hour and a half later. Police said no one has seen or heard from him since.
Police describe Johnson as being a black male, 5'9" tall, weighing about 130 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and black Nike brand slippers.
Johnson has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and depression, according to officials.
Anyone who sees Johnson should call 911 immediately. Anyone with information on his disappearance is asked to contact Det. K. Green at 770-477-3659.
