Morrow Police are looking for one of the suspects involved in an armed robbery at a Waffle House.

Police said the crime happened at the restaurant early Thursday morning on Mount Zion Road.

Morrow Police Chief James Callaway told FOX 5 News that an officer pulled over the robbing duo shortly after the incident for going through a stop sign and for having a taillight violation. The officer didn't know at the time that the occupants were fleeing the robbery.

Callaway said the driver was arrested but the passenger, who is a minor, ran into nearby woods. His department as well as other agencies set up a perimeter and used K-9 units. Still, the suspect got away.

“I urge you to turn yourself in and to do the right thing. Stop running because we are not going to stop coming for you,” Callaway stressed.

Callaway said officers recovered a stolen firearm from the vehicle.

He added the suspects took an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
