Police have issued an arrest warrant for the mother of a little boy rescued from a pool last week.

On Oct. 2, officers heard the call on the radio for a 3-year-old boy found unresponsive in a pool.

Officer David Yates and Lt. James Hollowood came to the home before paramedics and were able to perform CPR.

Body camera video obtained by FOX 5 News shows the efforts from the officers. Yates first worked to expel water from the lungs before the two performed CPR together.

Once paramedics took over, Yates continued to help paramedics as the boy was transported to the hospital. He was revived and later transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite where he died the next day.

Police said the mother of the 3-year-old will be charged with second-degree child cruelty.
