ATLANTA - A gunman is on the run after a shooting early Tuesday in southwest Atlanta.
Atlanta Police said the man opened fire on a car on Alison Court but the passengers traveled to Lee Street where they met with investigators.
FOX 5 News spoke with one of the people in the car who didn't want to be identified. The woman is pregnant and said medics took her to the hospital as a precaution.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The woman told FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell that she and her relatives drove to Alison Court to meet a friend. Once there, they drove down the street to meet someone else. At that point, the woman
said a stranger demanded money from her relative before firing shots at the car. The bullets shattered the rear window of the vehicle.
"I heard at least four or five shots and they were still going off when we were going down the street," the woman said.
She fears her family was set up for a robbery. She said she didn't get a good look at the gunman because his face was covered by a hoodie.
"He is a danger to the streets. We were in somebody's neighborhood and he was trying to rob us. He knew nothing about us..." the woman stressed. "It's ridiculous. It needs to stop. He needs to be found."
