ROME, Ga. - Police officers in Rome, Georgia had an unlikely helper when trying to solve a robbery over the weekend: the snowy weather.
Police charged Trevon Lee with stealing a gun after they say they followed the footprints he left in the snow after a theft.
The break-in happened at a machinery shop where officers found and started to follow the footprints.
They led them straight to Lee's house and to the stolen property, officers said.
Lee told police that two other men actually stole the gun and gave it to him to hide.
