ATLANTA - Traffic on Langford Parkway was delayed after a driver heading the wrong way down the highway and caused a large accident.
Police say that the driver was traveling east in the westbound lanes on SR 166 just before Greenbriar Parkway before their car hit another vehicle head-on, causing a large accident scene and blocking traffic.
The wrong way driver then tried to leave the scene of the accident on foot.
The driver was then apprehended and given a field sobriety test. Officials said he failed the test, leading them to believe that he could be under the influence of alcohol.
Both cars are no longer drivable.
