Police detain woman for allegedly hijacking a car with four children inside

Atlanta Police are investigating a carjacking where a female suspect allegedly took a vehicle with four children inside, according to the Atlanta Police Department.

Authorities said they located the vehicle, detained the suspect, and found the children safe around 4:30pm on Saturday. The vehicle was stopped near the intersection of Arthur B. Langford Jr. Pkwy and Delowe Drive, according to authorities.

The suspect had a gun and was described as a black female wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans, according to Atlanta Police.

The incident occurred at 1960 Allison Court SW, according to police. The suspect and children were believed to be traveling in a 2016 black Nissan Versa.

Atlanta Police also sent out four Levi's Calls earlier on Saturday, alerting the abduction of the four children in the car. According to police, the four children in the car were 13-year-old Imani Williams, 1-year-old Cloy Griffin, 2-year-old Bryson Williams, and 4-year-old Brianna Williams.
