Police hope video will lead to arrests in deadly gas station shooting

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. - Police hope surveillance video will lead to answers after a gas station clerk was shot and killed during an attempted robbery early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at the Shell gas station located on Old National Highway in Fulton County.

Investigators told FOX 5 a male clerk, believed to be in his 20s, was shot in an attempted robbery around 5:30 a.m. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital where he later died. 

A gas station employee told FOX 5 the victim had only worked as a clerk for about one week. 

Police said two suspects fled on foot after the shooting. Investigators are hoping store surveillance video will help them identify the suspects.
