Police: Armed trio robs, beat pizza delivery driver in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - Atlanta Police are searching for an armed trio after a pizza delivery driver says he was robbed and attacked inside a southwest Atlanta neighborhood.

The crime happened Monday in the driveway of a home on Bakers Ferry Road, according to the incident report obtained by FOX 5 News.

The unidentified delivery driver said he went to the home and was approached by three young men, possibly teenagers. He told FOX 5's Marissa Mitchell they robbed him of his money and pizza at gunpoint before demanding his car keys. Once he refused, he said one of the three men hit him in the head with a steel pipe, causing bleeding and bruising above his eye. The group then ran off and he called the police.

Investigators report there have been five or six pedestrian robberies involving delivery drivers within the last six months. If you have any information on the cases, please call Atlanta Police.
