Police: 2 trick-or-treaters hit by car in Midtown Atlanta

Two children were rushed to the hospital Halloween night after a car struck them while out trick-or-treating.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. Tuesday along Monroe Drive near Grady High School.

A 9-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl were rushed to Children’s Health Care of Atlanta at Egleston. Both were reportedly alert and breathing on the way to the hospital.

Police said the car hit the children after they darted into traffic.

No charges are expected in the case as the vehicle stopped at the scene.
