SOUTH FULTON, Ga. - Police in the City of South Fulton said three people were killed Monday after a train struck a vehicle on the tracks.
It happened on Buffington Road near Roosevelt Highway just after 4 p.m. South Fulton Police said two people were pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional victims were transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where the third victim died.
The circumstances surrounding the accident were not immediately known.
On Tuesday, police released the names of the three victims killed in the crash. They've been identified as 40-year-old Lidonda Carter, 18-year-old Santania McDowell, and 16-year-old Mackenzie Mack.
The names of the last injured victim has not yet been released.
