MARIETTA, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Police said two gang members are off the streets, including one who said he's a high-ranking member of the Ghost Face Gang.
While patrolling a Motel 6, Marietta police said officers encountered 38-year-old Jason Douglas and 40-year-old Laura Abbott.
Officers said they first spotted what they call Ghost Face Gang identifiers like specific face tattoos.
Police said Douglas had outstanding warrants and when officers tried to put him in handcuffs, he got violent.
Investigators also found 40 grams of meth.
During the arrest, police said Douglas claimed he was the statewide coordinator of the dangerous gang.
Douglas was charged with obstruction and drug trafficking.
His companion, Laura Abbot, was charged with tampering with evidence.
Police said she tried to destroy a cellphone while police were dealing with Douglas.
