Person of interest wanted in Douglasville shooting

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. - Douglasville Police are searching for a man involved in a shooting Thursday morning.

Investigators said 24-year-old Demarcus Almond reportedly shot an armed man several times in self-defense. It happened inside a home on Hollis Street.

The armed man was hit as was a woman inside the house. Both were hospitalized.

Officials are looking for Almond as a person of interest.

He was last seen driving a gray Ford Mustang with an Atlanta Falcons tag.
