GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. - A little bit of rain couldn't stop over 500 people from attempting to tackle the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office's Jail Break Challenge Saturday morning.
The event, which is one of the Sheriff's Office's favorites to put on, opens a training obstacle course designed for deputies to the public for one day only in both competitive and non-competitive fun runs.
The race puts participants through their paces, going from sandbag carries to rope climbs to a 20-foot-tall A-Frame.
This is the sixth year the Sheriff's Office has put on the event.
Proceeds from the run went to the Sheriff's youth mentoring programs.
