ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - Investigators are trying to piece together what led to shooting Thursday afternoon at an Atlanta Kroger store.
It happened just before 1 p.m. at the Kroger store located at 590 Cascade Avenue SW. Atlanta Police said a 19-year woman was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital after being discovered with a gunshot wound.
Investigators said a fight between the victim and another woman was how it all started. Police said a man with the second woman pulled out a gun and opened fire on the teen.
The gunman and the second woman took off running. No word on either's identity.
Police said the victim was shot in the torso. She was alert and breathing when she transported to the hospital. Police said she was in stable condition Thursday evening.
Investigators hope surveillance video will help led them to an arrest in the case.
