Officials: battery suspect ran from deputies, shot, and killed himself

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - A man wanted for battery in a domestic violence case was pronounced dead after Hall County officials said he shot himself.

Deputies tracked Leonardo Jimenez to a home on Stephens Road Tuesday afternoon.

Jimenez was reportedly armed and ran.

Authorities said they heard gunshots but did not return fire.

Officers later moved in and found Jimenez’s body in a ravine with a gunshot wound to the head.
