Officers: Gainesville man arrested for child pornography

HALL COUNTY, Ga. - A Gainesville man has been arrested by the Hall County Sheriff's Office after police say an investigation discovered he possessed sexual images of children.

Investigators arrested 64-year-old Jeffery Erwin Giessen during their investigation on Monday.

Officials said that after searching Giessen's home in the 2200 block of Karen Lane in West Hall county, they discovered he had pictures and videos "of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct."

Giessen was charged with sexual exploitation of a child and arrested without incident.

The case is still under investigation.
