Off-duty Atlanta police officer involved in car wreck

ATLANTA - An off-duty Atlanta police officer was involved in a car wreck Tuesday morning. 

The accident happened along Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway at Joseph E Lowery Boulevard. 

Investigators said the off-duty officer was struck by a 27-year-old woman who turned left in front of him, causing the cars to collide. The officer was taken to the hospital with neck pains. 

Both drivers were alert, conscious and breathing after the crash.
