New video shows officers tracking down armed robbery suspects

The city of Morrow Police Department said two men robbed Happy Nail Supply on Thursday. The suspects didn't realize the department had officers leaving a training class. Additionally, there was a shift change. Those officers were preparing to head to the to the streets. The store and police department is across the street from each other.

"We're grateful for the officers and the services that go unnoticed in our community and so that's tremendous," Hoang Nguyen and his family own Envegan restaurant. It's located doors down from the Happy Nail Supply. "We know the area around here, in general, is not as safe as it could be."

Several units chased the suspects. Investigators the driver went behind a house at a high rate of speed, but couldn't stop. The vehicle slid across the grass and ended up going over an embankment. It fell 50 feet and rolled several times.

The department told FOX 5 News one suspect was immediately arrested. The other, who lost one shoe, tried to run. Officers tracked him with a K-9. They also used a stun gun on him.

The suspects, 17-year-old Roderick Hold and 20-year-old Kevin Hinds face several felony charges including aggravated assault and armed robbery.

Investigators said the vehicle the two crashed had been stolen from DeKalb County earlier in the day.
