Police said new evidence in the case of a teenager found dead last week suggests she was gunned down in the same Atlanta park in which her naked body was found.

The body of Bridget Shiel, 19, was found in Oakland City Park on May 31. Atlanta Police believe she was shot and killed in the park because someone reported hearing gunshots around 1:06 a.m. that day in the area.

They also say a witness came forward, reporting to have seen the teenager just hours before her death.

The witness reported seeing Shiel at a gas station in DeKalb County at the corner of Memorial Drive and Rockbridge Road around 11:30 p.m. May 30. The witness said Shiel was in the passenger seat of her own car and two black men were in the car with her. The person told police Shiel appeared to be in distress.

Detectives told FOX 5 News surveillance video from the convenience store reveals the car was there around 11:30 that evening, less than two hours before Shiel was shot and killed in the park.

A $2,000 reward remains in place for any information leading to an arrest in this homicide investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Atlanta Police or Atlanta Crime Stoppers.
