New Chick-fil-A slated for Vine City

An Atlanta neighborhood is about to welcome its first Chick-fil-A.

The fast food restaurant held a dedication for the site of its new restaurant in Vine City Thursday.

At the event, company representatives revealed plans for the new restaurant.

The area has seen a lot of development recently like the opening of the nearby Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Chick-fil-A said the new location is part of an effort to reinvest in the city's Westside neighborhoods.

“This area is just incredible. I think you may know this is the area where a lot of the civil rights leaders lived and worked. And then for CFA to be on MLK is like a dream come true for the work that they worked for. To have this as a possibility,” said Quincy Springs, Owner/Operator, Vine City Chick-fil-A.

Chick-fil-A also recently announced a $300,000 donation to the Westside Future Fund which is dedicated to revitalizing Westside neighborhoods.
