Ebola survivor, Nancy Writebol, served as the keynote speaker at Emory’s nursing convocation on Friday.

Writebol contracted the deadly disease while working with a missionary group in Liberia in 2014. She was successfully treated at Emory and will share her experience at the ceremony.

The convocation took place Friday morning at Emory’s Glenn Memorial. The event celebrated the Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing's incoming nursing students and faculty.

The school also paid tribute to the outstanding achievements of AMSN, BSN, and MSN students.
