Multiple injuries reported after school bus, van crash in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - A school bus driver and nine children were injured in an accident involving a school bus, according to Atlanta Police.

It happened along Campbellton Road SW at Childress Drive. Police said the bus and a passenger vehicle were involved.

Of the 17 people on the bus, nine children received minor injuries and the driver injured his leg, according to police. All were alert, conscious, and breathing.

Police said a driver and passengers in the other vehicle had to be extricated. They were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.
