Tennessee soldier surprises son at martial arts practice

LEBANON, Tenn. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A little boy in Tennessee got the surprise of his life when his martial arts lesson became an emotional reunion.

Luca Cesernino was blindfolded and getting ready to fight when he heard his sparring partner's familiar voice.

He took off his gloves and blindfold, and sure enough, it was his father, Rob Cesernino, back from deployment.

He had been away since early 2018.

Luca shouted "daddy" and ran to give his dad a huge hug while the people in the room clapped and cheered.

Both Rob and Luca were awarded honorary black belts.
