#StonerSloth Campaign Seeks to Keep Australian Kids Off Drugs

The Internet has immortalized the sloth as nature's Wolverine, except maybe cuter. But an Australian anti-drug campaign is now turning the sloth into a drug addled teenager... or it could be the other way around.

The ads are targeted towards teens with a series of videos and social media posts that uses the sloth to represent a person under the effects of marijuana. Each ad ends with the tagline "You're worse on weed" and the hashtag #stonersloth.

The ad campaign, which is credited to the New South Wales Department of Premier of Cabinet, is drawing mixed reviews online.

The use, possession, sale, or growth of cannabis remains illegal in Australia, despite some decriminalization efforts for minor offenses, but at least one state will be allowing medical marijuana in the next two years.
