According to the humorous obit for William “Bill” Harold Bryant Jr, the 87-year-old died “not wanting to witness the results of the 2016,” and “determining nothing on television was worth watching anymore.”

The Atlanta native and Georgia Institute of Technology alum “dutifully took his disdain of the University of Georgia to the grave” according to his obituary.

Bryant served as a second Lieutenant in the Army, after which he traveled the world before coming home to Atlanta where he met his wife of 55 years.

“On his return to the States he attended Grace Methodist Church where he spotted a raven haired beauty in the choir and secretly resolved to marry her.”

“They were married 55 years of which he frustrated her 98.3% of the time, his children 78.5% of the time and his dog; never at all.”

The obituary originally appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
