In hopes of making the world a better place, a young girl in California decided to spread some joy.

Leah Nelson has been hitting the pavement in Sacramento, handing out bracelets that she made; however, there's a catch. The bracelet serves as a reminder to do something nice for someone else.

As soon as you do your good deed, you pass the bracelet on and encourage its next owner to do another act of kindness.

"I just want the world to be a better place," Leah said. "I mean, there's many issues and people are mad about the issues, and if you're mad about the issue why don't you take action and try and change them?"

Leah's story has taken the internet by storm. Her family said they've heard from people as far away as England and Indonesia.

The 10-year-old's program is called "Becuz I care." She's asked that people share their acts of kindness stories with her on Twitter or by using the hashtag #BecuzICare11.
