The average life expectancy in the U.S. is 78 years-old, but one Minnesota couple is well beyond that as they celebrate 78 years of marriage.
Verna Kaduce, 95, and her husband, Ervin, 98, were married in 1938.
Together, the two have seen multiple wars, the loss of a child and the blessing of a great-grandchild.
Verna says she took one look at her future husband and just knew.
The couple says there’s no secret to a long-lasting marriage. Although, Ervin adds that never arguing can go a long way.
The Kaduce’s marriage is currently the longest in the state of Minnesota.
