101-year-old veteran volunteers as Salvation Army bell ringer

- A 101-year-old man in Kansas is proving you are never too old to do what you love.

For the 10th year in a row, World War II veteran David Bevan is spending his holiday season volunteering as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.

Bevan has been volunteering for the Pittsburg Salvation Army for nearly a decade.

It all started because he felt the need to give back to his community in some way.

"[I] don't have a lot of money, but I can give him a little time and help out however I can," Bevan said.

You can find Bevan sitting in front of the Salvation Army headquarters in Pittsburg, ringing his bell and asking for donations.

"I feel good anytime somebody puts something in the container," he said.

He plans on keeping ringing the bell for years, "If I'm still around."
