Missing poodle nabbed during burglary returned
SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. - A Sandy Springs woman credits FOX 5 News with helping to get her dog back.
Tara Mercado said someone broke into her unit at the Highland Park Apartment complex. She said she walked in one day to find her door unlocked, electronics and her dog gone.
After her story about her missing dog was posted to FOX5Atlanta.com, she said a woman contacted her to say she had her pet. Mercado said the woman told her she bought the dog from a man.
The two met up and she was able to get her pup back. The woman would not accept any reward for returning him.
Sandy Springs police said burglars have targeted several units, searching for jewelry and televisions.
