A 19-year-old woman was found safe and reunited with her family. The Fayette County Sheriff's Office worked the case, deputies told FOX 5 Whitney Guest was found in Coweta County on Thursday more than 24 hours after she went missing in Fairburn.

Melissa Guest said the last time she saw Whitney was around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. She noticed her daughter wasn't in the house about an hour later. Later, the family found out Whitney left with a small wheeled suitcase and a backpack. Melissa said she used an app to track her daughter's phone. The last location it listed was the Starbucks in Fairburn. There, deputies said the phone was smashed. Melissa said she was extra worried about her daughter because she's not as mentally mature as she appears.

"She's 19, but she does have a developmental disability and does function more around a middle schooler like a 13-year-old," said Guest.

Whitney also takes preventative seizure medication she did not take with her.

Melissa put her daughter's picture on Facebook to try and bring her home. She said she was overwhelmed with the response, shares, and help she got through that post.

Whitney was found cold, but safe. She's now reunited with her parents.
