DALLAS, Ga. - A missing 81-year-old Paulding County woman who was the subject of a Mattie’s Call, Georgia’s emergency missing alert for disabled or elderly persons, has been found safely a day after disappearing.
Janet Otte left her home on Colt Lane in Paulding County early Monday morning. Investigators believed Otte was still in the area since she does not have a vehicle. An active search took place most of Monday for Otte, but she did not turn up.
Her family set out to search for her again Tuesday and said she came out of the wood. She was said to be confused but in good health.
Police said Otte has been missing before and gets very disoriented.
