A search is underway for a Chamblee man wanted for stabbing another man 17 times during a fight in Gwinnett County.

Surveillance video shows 20-year-old Viet Dam stab a 35-year-old Snellville man multiple times in the parking lot behind the Paradise Karaoke on Pleasant Hill Road in Lawrenceville. The victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition, police said.

Around 3 a.m. on October 3, police say the two men got into a dispute inside the business, but went outside and began fighting. Police say the victim didn’t realize he had been stabbed until after the two were separated. After the fight, Dam reportedly fled the scene.

It’s unclear what prompted the fight, but police say the men knew each other through a previous relationship connection with a woman.
