Police say three men were in a car, possibly a Toyota Camry, before one got out and committed the crime. Authorities expect the victim to survive his gunshot wound to the stomach. There is no suspect information at this time.
Rafael Capone, with Soul Asylum Studios, released the following statement to FOX 5 News:
"The Soul Asylum Studios group and its private upscale Atlanta location Sould Asylym studios (ATL) which has a stellar record of 8 years and no incidents while serving 1,700 plus new and 500 return clients each year, experience a unfortunate off the property, strong arm robbery. The robbery resulted in gunshots. The current news reports is not accurate, it was not a drive by shooting as being reporter. A robbery attempt/robbery of a videographer and his camera gear carried in a back pack which left the victim grazed by a single bullet as the suspects fled the scene. there was no attempt to rob Soul Asylum Studios and the gun men and accomplices were on foot and never entered upon studio property or parking lot. After the robbery, which happened on the city streets, the suspects fled by foot to a getaway vehicle."
