A man has been charged with shooting his child’s mother in the head after an argument at an Atlanta airport hotel, according to Forest Park police.

Anthony “Ant” Mickel, 23, faces aggravated assault and murder charged in the June 24 death of Clotell Rose Bohler.

Police say officers responded to the 200 block of Falcon Drive around 2:15 a.m. for a report of a female shot. Upon arrival, they found Clotell lying in the breezeway with a single gunshot wound to the head. She was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police say Mickel and Clotell were involved in an argument before he shot her.

The couple has a 5-month-old child together, police said.

An arrest warrant has also been issued for 23-year-old Durelle “Swomp” Hightower for a tampering with evidence charge.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Forest Park Police Department at 404-608-2366 or Atlanta Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477).
