Man pleads guilty in Walmart security guard death

- The man accused of killing a Lilburn Walmart security guard has pled guilty.

Prosecutors said 37-year-old Boaz Fordyce tried to steal three flat screen televisions from the store on Lawrenceville Highway and Pleasant Hill Road last April.

Loss prevention officer J.D. Ferguson tried to stop him, but was shot.

It took police two days to find Fordyce.

The judge sentenced him to life in prison.
