A man wanted for murder in Atlanta has been arrested in Charleston, South Carolina.

Police accuse 29-year-old Purcious Smith of shooting of Sergio Collin on Elm Street last month and then dumping his body in a car outside Stonecrest Mall in Lithonia.

Police issued a missing person alert for Collins on October 17 as well. Investigators are still working on gathering evidence and locating a suspect. The alert sent on Tuesday stated authorities believed Collins was in danger.

DeKalb County Police was called to the Turner Hill Road area around 4:30 a.m. and found Collins dead. Atlanta Police took over the case not long after.

Investigators have charged Smith with felony murder and armed robbery.

He was booked into a Charleston jail until his extradition.
