ATLANTA (FOX 5 Atlanta) - An airline passenger tries to take a gun through the checkpoint at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Unfortunately, passengers forget all the time that they left a weapon in a bag.
But a recent gun incident was quite different. After authorities spotted the weapon and turned to detain the traveler, the TSA says the passenger did not stick around.
The man is said to have quickly gone down the escalator to the trains. Police gave chase but could not find him.
And he is seen on airport surveillance video.
But that is not the end of this story. Nearly ten hours later, the same man showed up at the TSA station asking if anyone had his bag.
The man, identified as Travis Cochran, was shown where his bag was placed. It was in the police precinct. Police handcuffed him and took him to the Clayton County Jail.
