Man arrested, accused of threatening Univ. of North Georgia professor

Police arrest a man who they said threatened a University of North Georgia professor.

Officers said 23-year-old Jose Gomez contacted the unnamed professor via letter and email and threatened gun violence against the victim, other staff, and students if the professor did not resign.

University police worked with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to arrest Gomez.

He was booked into Lumpkin County charged with terroristic threats and acts.
