The city of Lawrenceville unveiled its new police headquarters.

A ceremony was held at the facility on Jackson Street Thursday afternoon.

The headquarters is called The L. Randy Johnson Building after the retired chief of police.

Randy Johnson served the city for 33 years and as the chief of police for 21 of those years.

The mayor said Johnson played a huge role in designing the new building, making him even more deserving of this recognition.
