Gwinnett County Police have launched an investigation after someone painted racial slurs of the side of a townhome.

Residents of the Oakland Downs townhome community woke up Thursday morning to find the slurs painted on the side and garage of one townhome.

A police spokesman told FOX 5’s Patty Pan they dispatched an officer Thursday morning after receiving a complaint.

Residents we talked to they don’t know if the racial message was intended just for the residents of the one townhome or the entire community, but they are scared about what happened.

By late morning, a painter arrived at the townhome and painted over the slurs.
