Two arrested for fatal shooting at Bridgewater Apartments

DULUTH, Ga. - Gwinnett County Police have caught two suspects within 24 hours of a deadly shooting at the Bridgewater Apartments.

Christopher Tavarez and Bailey Foney-Ray, both 18-years-old, were arrested and charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Conspiracy. They've both been placed in the Gwinnett County Jail for allegedly killing 19-year-old J'Kobe Wilkerson.

Investigators say Wilkerson was found dead in the breezeway of apartment building 3200. Another victim was rushed to the hospital with unknown injuries.

The violence occurred before 5:15 pm on Saturday at the Ridge Brook Trail apartment complex. Police responded after receiving a call about an unknown suspect.

The crime scene unit arrived to investigate, while detectives spoke with potential witnesses. The relationship between the victims is unknown at this time. The cause of the shooting is still under investigation.
