The Atlanta Braves hosted a “Puppy Class” for over 25 future guide dogs on Wednesday at SunTrust Park.

Officials said to celebrate International Guide Dog Day and to help future guide dogs, the Guide Dog Foundation worked with the Atlanta Braves to bring the dogs into the ballpark to get used to the sights, smells and sounds.

Officials said the dogs were exposed to walking up and down steep stairs, filing and settling into seats, and getting to meet the Braves mascot, BLOOPER. The dogs were exposed to the animals could become more confident guide dogs.

Volunteer puppy raisers were there to help their puppies start the process of becoming a guide dog. Puppy raisers provide homes that care for the puppies that are not old enough to go into the foundation’s certified training programs.
