GRIFFIN, Ga. (FOX 5 Atlanta) - A Griffin man is on the run after a reported domestic dispute on Monday afternoon and an outstanding warrant.
Javon Goodman is wanted on for violation of probation stemming from a robbery by force and assault arrest.
On Monday, police said they responded to Tuscany Lane in Griffin after receiving a report of a domestic dispute. Officers said they learned Goodman threatened to kill himself if police attempted to arrest him on the outstanding warrant and may have been under the influence.
Police said Goodman fled into the home and locked the door. The SWAT team was brought in and officers tried to talk him out of the home, but police said he did not comply.
Officers eventually obtained a search warrant and made entry, but police said no one was inside the home.
Police said the home had to be decontaminated by Griffin firefighters.
Goodman now faces additional charges of simple battery, police said.
