All of North Georgia is under a level 2 risk for strong to severe storms with damaging winds being the main concern.

There is a Severe Thunderstorm WATCH for Bartow, Chattooga, Gordon and Floyd Counties until 4pm EDT. This means conditions are favorable for the development for damaging winds up to 60mph and 1" size hail.

Just like Friday, the storms will linger for about an hour or two through the afternoon and evening hours and then your severe storm threat will decrease substantially.

If you have outdoor activities planned for today, don’t cancel them, but be aware that storms will impact part of your afternoon and evening.
